Construction of the Nemat Qasemi Cultural and Academic Center
In support of education in Almito and with the aim of improving the educational standards of underserved students, the Nemat Qasemi Foundation launched the construction project of the Nemat Qasemi Cultural and Academic Center in the summer of 2022 (1401 SH) and successfully completed it within the same year. The center now serves as the main venue for all educational programs supported by the Foundation.
Nemat Qasemi Cultural and Academic Center
As part of its ongoing educational and community-support initiatives in underserved areas, the Nemat Qasemi Foundation launched the construction of the Nemat Qasemi Cultural and Academic Center in the Almitoo area of Jaghuri District in the summer of 2022 (1401 SH). The project was undertaken with the aim of improving the educational, academic, and cultural development of students in the Almito area and was completed in the winter of the same year.
The particular attention given by Mr. Nematullah Qasemi, Founder and Funder of the Nemat Qasemi Foundation, to the state of education in Almitoo and his commitment to supporting underserved students in the area, together with the students’ strong interest in learning modern subjects such as English and computer skills, laid the foundation for this important initiative. Recognizing that sustainable educational programs require a dedicated facility and a permanent location, the Foundation, in consultation with local residents, decided to establish this educational and cultural complex.
The center was constructed adjacent to the Almitoo Boys’ School on land generously provided by Dr. Mohammad Jan Sotuda. In its initial phase, the facility will host the Sofia English Language Institute. It will subsequently serve as a central hub for other academic, educational, and cultural programs supported by the Nemat Qasemi Foundation, as well as initiatives undertaken by other community-based organizations in the area.
The building was designed to meet the standard requirements of a functional educational environment and includes the following facilities:
Four fully equipped and standard classrooms
An administrative and management office
A library to promote a culture of reading
A teachers’ and instructors’ room
A multipurpose hall for academic events, community meetings, and gatherings
A computer classroom
A kitchen
A water well
A solar power system
The leadership of the Nemat Qasemi Foundation sincerely extends its appreciation and gratitude to the members of the Education Development Council, respected representatives of Almitoo, esteemed religious scholars, and dedicated teachers of the area who actively contributed to the establishment and support of this major project.
